Works that require building plan submission

You will need to submit a building plan to us for the following types of works:

  • New developments

    • Residential

    • Commercial

  • Upgrading

    • Lift Upgrading Programme

    • Rental Upgrading Programme

Works that do not require building plan submission

Although you are not required to submit plans for the following works, Qualified Persons/ tenants still have to obtain in-principle approval/ landowner endorsement from the respective departments before submitting building plans to the Building and Construction Authority or other technical authorities.

These are the Addition & Alteration (A&A) Works that do not require building plan submission to HDB (ARCH) and HDB (C&S):

  • Town Council improvement works

  • Void deck conversion

  • A&A to commercial units
