Residential
Home owners are responsible for the proper installation, safety, and stability of the air-conditioners (casement/ window unit/ split type) in their flat.
If you would like to replace or install an air-conditioner in your flat, you must engage installers who have been trained by the Building and Construction Authority. Air-conditioner window units and split-type condensing units must be installed at approved locations, using approved installation methods.
The following guidelines must be followed for air-conditioner installation in conventional flats.
