Under the Lively Places Challenge 2020, a team of students from Singapore Polytechnic engaged Punggol residents in a virtual hand sanitiser holder-making workshop to promote the importance of personal hygiene and to show how everyday items can be recycled into eco-friendly DIY crafts, with the completed hand sanitiser holders gifted to the seniors in a Senior Activity Centre. Step 1
Cut out the smallest rectangle as the strip

Cut out the circle

Glue both sides of the cloth evenly
Step 4
Fold the cloth into half and let it dry for 3 to 5 mins

Glue the loop side of the velcro onto one end of the strip
Step 6
Glue about 2cm of the strip onto one end of the holder (ensure the glue on both sides of the holder are dried)
Step 7
Glue the hook side of the velcro and stick it onto the holder

Trim the sides
