Tengah Districts

The residential areas in Tengah are divided into 5 districts, each with a unique character. They are Plantation District, Garden District, Park District, Brickland District, and Forest Hill District.

Forest and nature themes are featured strongly in the planning and design of the districts, as part of our plans to weave nature into homes.

Plantation District

Plantation District will have about 10,000 new homes when fully completed.

Plantation District is green, sustainable, and smart, with 4 key ideas underpinning its development: 

  • Cultivate the Plantation Farmway – Creating a new lifestyle and community centred around community and allotment gardening 
  • Travel Lite – Embracing an active and healthy lifestyle by promoting walking, cycling, and the use of public transport
  • Live with Nature – Creating homes set amidst nature, where greenery and water features blend seamlessly with housing, guided by the Biophilic Town Framework
  • Live Smart – Harnessing science and technology to create a more liveable, efficient, sustainable, and safe living environment for residents

Spaces for community and allotment gardening
Plantation District is planned to be the home of community and allotment gardening, and a key feature of the district is the Plantation Farmway. Spanning about 40 metres wide and 1.3 kilometres long, it weaves through the housing precincts and connect the community and recreational facilities within the district. The Plantation Farmway also serves as a green connector, linking residents to other key facilities and amenities in Tengah town, such as the Town Centre, Central Park and Forest Stream.

As a Tengah resident, you will be able to grow your own produce and share the fruits of your harvest. These activities offer opportunities to experience a new lifestyle, connect with neighbours, and bring back the kampung spirit.

Residents can look forward to social communal facilities along the Farmway, including thematic children’s playgrounds, adult and elderly fitness corners, and landscaped seating areas.

Green pockets for relaxation and community interaction
2 Community Quadrangles will be located within the Plantation Farmway. Designed as green pockets with trees lined up like in a plantation, residents can relax under the shade or gather for a chat on seats sheltered by trellises.

Neighbourhood Centre
Plantation Plaza Neighbourhood Centre (NC), the first NC in Tengah, is seamlessly integrated with the Plantation Village residential area. Designed as a one-stop destination for residents’ everyday needs, the development spans more than 10,000 square metres of retail space across 5 levels. With a total of 75 shops, including a supermarket, food court, and a wide variety of dining, retail, services, and recreational options, it caters well to the needs of Tengah residents.

The retail street – a linear pedestrian mall lined with 14 eateries and retail shops – is flanked by the Plantation Farmway and extends from the NC along Block 127A to 126A of Plantation Village. The retail street provides residents with seamless, fully sheltered pedestrian access from their homes to the future MRT station along the Jurong Region Line.

The Grand Piazza is a sprawling open green featuring a small stage. Flanking the Plantation Farmway, it provides more opportunities for community interaction. At approximately 1,000 square metres in size, residents can experience and participate in community events such as exhibitions, bazaars, and community performances.

Thematic playgrounds to inspire imaginative play
Within Plantation District, you will find thematic playgrounds inspired by nature and motifs of fruits and vegetables. These themed playgrounds encourage imaginative play, and serve as natural conversation starters amongst children and adults.

Durian Paradise in Plantation Farmway

Inspired by the thorny shell of durians, this playground offers plenty of climbing opportunities for little ones.

Pineapple and Lychee in Plantation Grange

Get your dose of Vitamin D and C at this tomato paradise! Can you ketch-up?

Spice up playtime fun at this playground in Plantation Village featuring the unique colours of the nutmeg.

    Plantation Grove is the first public housing development launched in Tengah. Designed with intimate wooded courtyards that form grove-like spaces, its name reflects the development’s design approach and location.

    Sited along Plantation Crescent, Plantation Acres has 9 residential blocks ranging from 7 to 14 storeys. The name ‘Plantation Acres’ is inspired by the green spaces within the development.

  • Plantation Grange
    Plantation Grange 
     

    Plantation Grange has 10 residential blocks with staggered heights of 7 to 15 storeys, nestled in green spaces. The façade of Plantation Grange depicts a stylised grid pattern resembling plantation.

  • Plantation Village
    Plantation Village 
     

    Plantation Village has 15 residential blocks with heights ranging from 6 to 15 storeys. Outdoor facilities such as fitness stations and playgrounds can be found within Plantation Village, as well as at the adjacent common green.

  • Plantation Creek
    Plantation Creek 
     

    Plantation Creek is bounded by Tengah Garden Avenue and Tengah Boulevard and comprises 6 residential blocks ranging from 15 to 16 storeys. The name 'Plantation Creek' references the development’s location along the waterway leading to the nearby Tengah Pond. Inspired by these water bodies, Plantation Creek adopts water motifs throughout its design, with abstract wave forms on the building façade and wave swirls in the landscape design.

Garden District will provide about 7,000 new homes when fully completed, featuring greenery and water features blending seamlessly with housing.

Garden Farmway
The Garden Farmway is a key feature of this district. This greenway spans approximately 40 metres wide on average and 1.5 kilometres long, meandering through the housing precincts. Lined with recreational, social, and communal facilities on both sides, it serves as a green recreational corridor linking the precincts in Garden District.

Bringing the community together through gardening
The Garden Farmway provides space for community and allotment gardening to grow your own produce and share your harvest with neighbours. These activities will offer you the opportunity to experience a different lifestyle, connect with fellow residents, and foster the kampung spirit.

Seamless connection to key town facilities and neighbouring districts
The Garden Farmway connects you to 2 key recreational features in Tengah Town. At one end, you will find Tengah Pond, where you can enjoy retail and recreational facilities or take a stroll along the waterfront promenade. The other end leads to the future Central Park, an extensive 20-hectare green lung. The Central Park flanks the western side of Garden District, acting as a green buffer between homes and the future Jurong Innovation District.

    Garden Vale is bounded by Plantation Crescent, Tengah Boulevard and Tengah Drive and has 8 residential blocks with heights ranging from 7 to 14 storeys, creating the tapered look of valleys. Follow the meandering landscaped spaces and discover suitable nooks for quiet contemplation, leisure, and outdoor fun.

    Bounded by Tengah Drive, Tengah Garden Walk, and Plantation Crescent, Garden Vines comprises 8 residential blocks, with heights staggering from 7 to 14 storeys. The developments in the Garden District are influenced by garden elements, and Garden Vines is inspired by the meandering Garden Farmway and winding landscaped paths within the development.

    Garden Bloom is bounded by Tengah Central and Tengah Garden Walk and comprises 7 residential blocks that are 15 storeys in height. Various flowering plants will be planted around the development to add colour to the common spaces.

    Located right next to the Promenade Park lining the Tengah Pond, Garden Waterfront I & II are located along Tengah Garden Avenue. The 2 developments comprise 18 residential blocks, ranging from 9 to 16 storeys in height.

Park District

Park District will provide about 13,000 new homes when fully completed. It will be the hub and heart of Tengah, where the “car-free” Tengah Town Centre will be sited.

Park District is encircled by lush landscaping and the Forest Corridor flanking Park District’s northern border, bringing to life vibrant urban living in a park-like setting.

Central Park
Enjoy daily strolls in the Central Park, which features a Forest Stream, a naturalised canal that provides a soothing environment for recreational activities.

Rainforest Walk
Extending the park experience is a 1.5-kilometre-long Rainforest Walk, which weaves through the housing precincts and connects Central Park to the Forest Fringe. You will find facilities such as nature-themed playgrounds, open green spaces, and seating areas along the Rainforest Walk. The plants along the Rainforest Walk are layered to mimic the emergent canopy and understorey layers found in a tropical rainforest. Features such as vegetated swales and rain gardens at various points bring the rainforest experience to life.

Tengah Town Centre
Residents can look forward to Singapore’s first “car-free” Town Centre where the roads will run beneath the Town Centre, freeing up space at the ground level for shopping and recreational uses.

With access to the future Jurong Region Line (JRL) and separated from roads and traffic, the town centre would be safe and friendly for you to walk, cycle, and ride. This enhances the Town Centre’s seamless pedestrian connectivity to Central Park and the surrounding social-communal green links.

Tengah Town Centre

A key feature of Park District will be Tengah’s “car-free” town centre which will be integrated with the nearby Central Park.

Park District is served by a new-generation Neighbourhood Centre integrated with a polyclinic and a “retail street” – a linear pedestrian mall that includes shops and social communal facilities. Opening in 2025, the centre will feature about 40 shops providing food and retail options, commercial services (such as hair salons and enrichment centres), a food court, and a supermarket to meet your daily needs.
