Funded by HDB’s Friendly Places Lively Places Fund, students from Temasek Polytechnic will be organising the inaugural Silver Fitness and Wellness Carnival at Bedok Town Square on 26 May 2019. Bring your parents and grandparents to join in the fun, and learn about active ageing and mindfulness through an educational talk, workshops and exhibitions.

Broom It! Day 2019

Project SPHERE Logo

Project SPHERE is a joint initiative between HDB, Ministry of Education, Singapore Pools, and Nippon Paint (Singapore). SPHERE stands for “Students, Singapore Pools & HDB Enriching and Reaching out to the Elderly”.

This year, Broom It! Day will be held at Punggol Place on 29 May 2019, 2:30pm to 6:30pm. To encourage intergenerational bonding between our youth and the elderly, student volunteers will help to spring clean homes of the elderly, and engage them in a photo frame painting workshop in an attempt to break the Singapore Book of Records for the largest collage of hand-painted photo frames.

Past Community Weeks

Since 2012, the HDB Community Week has been celebrating the community bonding initiatives, ideas, and success stories among us. Find out what happened in the past editions of HDB Community Week!
