HDB has launched a total of 23,184 Build-To-Order (BTO) flats for sale in 2022. In 2023, HDB plans to offer up to 23,000 BTO flats and is prepared to launch up to 100,000 flats in total from 2021 to 2025 if needed.
2 In February 2023, HDB will offer about 4,400 BTO flats in towns/estates such as Jurong West, Kallang Whampoa, Queenstown, and Tengah. In May 2023, HDB will offer between 3,800 to 4,800 flats in towns/estates such as Bedok, Kallang Whampoa, Queenstown, Serangoon and Tengah. These numbers are subject to review as more project details will be firmed up closer to the launch dates. HDB will continue to monitor housing demand and make adjustments, where necessary.
HDB Resale Market
3 HDB’s flash estimate of the 4th Quarter 2022 Resale Price Index (RPI) is 171.7, an increase of 2.1% over that in the 3rd Quarter of 2022 (see Annexes A1 and A2). This is a slower increase than the 2.6% increase in the 3rd Quarter of 2022, and is the slowest increase in the past year. Based on the flash estimate, resale flat prices have risen by 10.3% for the whole year of 2022, slower than the 12.7% increase in 2021.
4 The resale volume in 4th Quarter 2022 (up to 29 December) is 6,474, which is 15.8% lower than the same period last year (7,692 cases). For the full year up to 29 December 2022, the total resale volume is 27,773, which is 9.7% lower than the corresponding period last year (30,769 cases).
5 The RPI provides information on the general price movements in the resale public housing market. The transacted prices of individual flats (by block and flat type) can be found via the e-services on HDB InfoWEB.
