Today, Minister for National Development, Mr Desmond Lee, announced the launch of the HDB Flat Portal.  This was the culmination of a series of engagement sessions where we sought feedback from many industry players and stakeholders on how we could make it more convenient for home buyers to gather information on their housing options and buy a flat through a single platform.   

2 The features of the portal will be launched progressively, starting with the following from today:

1. Customised financial calculators to estimate a home seeker’s budget to buy a flat, and understand the payments involved at different milestones in buying a new or resale flat. You may click on the following links to use these calculators to help your clients estimate their budget or sale proceeds:

2. An integrated loan listing service within the budget and payment plan calculators, to provide housing loan estimates from the HDB and financial institutions (FIs) regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.  It also facilitates comparison of housing loans offered by the HDB and six participating FIs, namely DBS Bank Limited, Hong Leong Finance Limited, Maybank Singapore Limited, Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited, Sing Investments & Finance Limited and United Overseas   Limited.  More interested financial institutions may be included in the future. With holistic information on the housing loan options, you may better advise your clients and help them make informed decisions in planning for their flat purchase.

3. A new flat listing service on the current and upcoming new HDB flats. You may use the information to help your clients, who are considering buying a flat from the HDB, to search for the flats available that are within their budget.
