Community
The HDB Community Day celebrates the everyday heroes who bring our heartlands to life. Through the theme “Celebrating LIFE in the Heartlands”, we spotlight residents, volunteers, and partners who create vibrant spaces and nurture cohesive communities. HDB Community Day 2025 took place on 26 July 2025 at our newest town, Tengah. The event was held in conjunction with the official opening of Plantation Plaza – the town’s first new-generation Neighbourhood Centre.
At the event, Minister for National Development, Mr. Chee Hong Tat, presented the Singapore’s Friendly Neighbourhood Award to 12 awarded neighbourhoods, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to their community. Mdm. Halimah Yacob, Patron for the Friends of Our Heartlands (FOH) Network, presented the FOH Awards to a total of 17 volunteers and schools who have contributed their time and services to nurturing caring, inclusive and vibrant neighbourhoods.
