Tampines Town Centre is conveniently located within a 5 minutes’ walk from the Tampines MRT Station and Tampines Bus Interchange. It is also easily accessible from major expressways like Pan Island Expressway (PIE) and Tampines Expressway (TPE). The town centre was planned as an hourglass shape to create a unique urban design form for the town.  It has many shops selling a wide range of goods and services. Both residents and shoppers are spoilt for choice with a wide range of goods, food, and entertainment options.

Tampines New Town won the United Nations 1993 “World Habitat Award for Excellence in Housing Design”, making it a model town for other satellite towns. The town centre is a regional centre with office buildings, shopping centres such as Tampines One, Tampines Mall and Century Square, CPF (Tampines Branch), and a neighbourhood park.
