    Upcoming Flat Supply

     

          In May 2023, HDB will offer about 5,400 Build-To-Order (BTO) flats in towns/estates such as Bedok, Kallang Whampoa, Serangoon, and Tengah. In August 2023, HDB will offer between 5,200 and 6,200 flats in towns/estates such as Bukit Merah, Choa Chu Kang, Kallang Whampoa, Queenstown, and Tengah. These numbers are subject to review as more project details will be firmed up closer to the launch dates. HDB will continue to monitor the housing demand and is prepared to launch up to a total of 100,000 flats from 2021 to 2025.

     

    HDB Resale Market

     

    2     HDB’s flash estimate of the 1st Quarter 2023 Resale Price Index (RPI) is 173.4, an increase of 0.9% over that in the 4th Quarter of 2022 (see Annexes A1 and A2). This is a slower increase than the 2.3% increase in the 4th Quarter of 2022, and is the smallest quarterly increase compared to the last 10 quarters.

     

    3     The resale volume in 1st Quarter 2023 (up to 30 March) is 6,880. This is 1.0% higher than the same period last year (6,810 cases).

     

    4     The RPI provides information on the general price movements in the resale public housing market. The transacted prices of individual flats (by block and flat type) can be found via the e-services on HDB InfoWEB.
