Examples of SPHERE+ activities

Q: What eligibility requirement must applicants meet? A: Applicant must be a school and
 proposed project should not be a duplicate of any existing programmes. HDB will match the nearest Senior
 Activity Centre (SAC) to the school so that the students can collaborate and work on a customised programme for
 the elderly. Q: Can I hold the project within the school? A: Yes, but the
 project/programme must be a collaboration between the school/students and the SAC. Most projects are usually
 held at the SAC and/or void deck. They could also be held in the HDB Pavilions or HDB Town Plazas. 
 Q: Can I use the fund for overseas project? A: No, HDB does not fund any overseas
 project. Q: I am not a first-time applicant of the Fund. Can I apply again? 
 A: Yes! You may re-apply for the fund again if the new proposal meets the goal of strengthening bonds between
 students and elderly. Q: I want to use the void deck. How do I go about to apply for use of
 space? A: Schools/students can apply directly to the local Town Council in the area.
