A section of Punggol Central will be temporarily closed to traffic from 11.00pm on 20 June 2022 to 5.00am on 21 June 2022. The closed section of the road will be between the junction of Punggol Central/Punggol Way and Punggol Central/Sumang Walk.

2 The closure is for the construction of a new pedestrian overhead bridge which is estimated to be completed in October 2022. The new pedestrian overhead bridge will provide better connectivity for residents of nearby public housing developments such as Punggol Opal, and Yusof Ishak Secondary School.

3 With the temporary road closure, motorists travelling between Punggol Way and Sumang Walk are advised to use Punggol Field as the alternative route to Punggol Central.

4 Barricades and diversion signs will be put up to guide motorists. Motorists are advised to drive carefully and observe the information signs displayed. Please refer to the layout plan in the Annex A for details on the temporary road closure and diversion routes.
