You can apply to change the repayment period of your HDB housing loan. This is helpful for getting greater control of your finances if the situation calls for it.
Upon the extension or shortening of your repayment period, the loan instalment amount will be revised downwards or upwards accordingly.
To make your application, please collect the following forms from any HDB Branch.
CPF withdrawal form for the revised instalment (if you are using CPF savings to pay your instalments)
CPF Home Protection Scheme (HPS) Health Declaration Form (if you are extending your loan repayment period, and insured under HPS)
Please submit the completed forms in person, together with the other flat owners, to:
- The HDB Branch managing your flat (for financial hardship cases)
- Any HDB Branch (for non-financial hardship cases)
Application for HPS exemption
If you own a private insurance policy, and are currently exempted from HPS, you will need to apply for an HPS exemption for the extended loan repayment period.
This is to ensure that your private insurance policy will still be adequate to cover the outstanding housing loan till the end of the extended loan repayment period.
To re-apply for HPS exemption, please log in to My CPF Online Services and go to ‘My Requests > Insurance’. The application is subject to approval by the CPF Board.
Note: If you are not going to use CPF savings to pay your revised monthly loan instalments, you do not need to re-apply for HPS exemption.
