HDB’s Outreach to Young and Youth! (OHYAY!) Roadshows reach out to schools and share on how students can play an important role in building active and caring communities.

Pre-school outreach

The young ones will get to enjoy an interactive storytelling session and hands-on activities that will help them learn more about the values of neighbourliness.

  • Neighbourliness

Programme and duration

2-hour session comprising 2 segments:

  • Storytelling by our animated storyteller
  • Art and craft session

Primary school outreach

Primary school students get acquainted with the good habits of high-rise and eco-friendly living through exciting activities and an exhibition specially designed for them.

Topics covered

  • How to be a friendly and responsible neighbour
  • Tips for leading an eco-friendly lifestyle

Programme and duration

30 minute assembly programme and a 4-6 hour exhibition:

  • Assembly programme with quizzes
  • Interactive game stations
  • Exhibition on gracious and responsible heartland living

Secondary school students will learn how public housing facilitates the building of communities and how they can contribute towards building active and bonded communities.

45-minute assembly programme and a 4-6 hour exhibition:

  • Assembly programme with quizzes
  • Interactive game stations
  • Exhibition on gracious and responsible heartland living
