1. Terms of the Tenancy / Licence Agreement

(i) Notwithstanding HDB’s acceptance of the e–Renewal of Tenancy / Licence Agreement, all terms and conditions contained in the Tenancy / Licence Agreement between HDB and the existing Tenant / Licensee shall continue to remain in force and be binding on the existing Tenant / Licensee.

(ii) HDB reserves the right to reject/cancel the e–Renewal of Tenancy / Licence Agreement if:

  1. the existing Tenant / Licensee has breached any of the Terms and Conditions in the Tenancy / LicenceAgreement; or

  2. enforcement action has been commenced or will be commenced against the existing Tenant / Licensee by HDB; or

  3. any information submitted to HDB via the e-Service for Renewal of Tenancy / License causes or constitutes any change to the Tenant’s / Licensee’s business constitution

(iii) Any information submitted to HDB via the e-Service for Renewal of Tenancy / Licence must not cause or constitute any change to the Tenant / Licensee’s business constitution whatsoever, including but not limited to:.

(a) Unique Entity Number (UEN) i.e. Business Registration Number; 

(b) Shareholding (where applicable); 

(c) Mode of Business; and

(d) Partnership structure where the Tenant is a partnership or a limited liability partnership.

2. Documents to be Submitted

You are required to submit the following documents, depending on your company or business type:

  • Sole-Proprietorship
    • An up-to-date copy of the Business Registration Records from the Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA)
  • Partnership
    • Letter, signed by all the partners, stating the share proportions of the partners and authorising 1 partner to sign the  Letter of Acceptance for Renewal of Tenancy / Tenancy Agreement / Licence Agreement for and on behalf of the partnership
    • An up-to-date copy of the Business Registration Records from the Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA)
  • Private Company/ Limited Liability Partnership
    • Company resolution authorising a representative to sign the Letter of Acceptance for Renewal of Tenancy / Tenancy Agreement / Licence Agreement on behalf of the company
    • Copy of the authorised representative’s NRIC
    • Deed of Guarantee signed by a shareholder who is a Singapore Citizen. If none of the shareholders are Singapore Citizens, the company can instead pay an additional 3-month deposit in lieu of the Deed of Guaratee 
    • An up-to-date copy of the Business Registration Records from the Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA)

3. HDB Data Protection and Privacy Policy

HDB collects personal data from you to administer HDB's public housing programmes and services. We may share necessary data with other Government agencies, unless such sharing is prohibited by legislation. This is to enable us to serve you in the most convenient, efficient and effective way. We will NOT share your personal data with non-Government entities, except where such entities have been authorised to carry out specific Government services. HDB reserves the right to rely on any information and/or records of any other relevant authorities to obtain or verify any information relating to or in connection with the e – Renewal of Tenancy. In this regard, the source of information will not be revealed to you, the existing Tenant and/or proposed tenant. 

Further, HDB reserves the right to write to and request information from you, the existing Tenant and/or proposed tenant who shall duly provide the information so requested.
