Application Process

You must be listed in the Directory of Renovation Contractors (DRC) in order to carry out renovations in HDB flats.

Application Criteria

Before submitting your application, please ensure that you fulfil the following criteria:

  • You must be a Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident
  • You and any other authorised persons have attended and successfully completed the ‘Renovation for Public Housing' training course 
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in renovation works and are actively involved in the renovation trade
  • Your company has been registered with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority for at least a year, and you have owned it for a minimum period of 1 year. It must also:
    • Have a good track record
    • Have been profitable in the past one year, and have at least one full-time staff
    • Have a minimum paid up capital of $50,000 if it is a Private Limited company
  • You and any partner/ director of the company:
    • Are not undischarged bankrupts
    • Do not have any criminal records, or record of any offences involving fraud and dishonesty

Required documents

Please submit the following documents with your application:

  • Certified copies of the company’s audited annual report, or other suitable annual accounting documents that will show the company’s financial standing over the past 1 year
  • 5 different completed quotations and invoices for renovation works on private projects that:
    • Total at least $100,000
    • Involve wet and/ or hacking works
    • Contain the client’s name, address, contact number, and email address
  • A recent passport-sized photograph
  • A copy of the last 12 months' CPF statement or letter of employment of a staff who has been employed by your company in the past year

Application

  • Login to My Business
  • Go to Renovation Contractors > Submit your application

We will evaluate the application and notify you of the results within 21 working days, provided all the required documents submitted are in order.

Fee and payment

Upon successful application, you can pay the application fee of $100 via credit card or internet banking using eNETS Debit. Alternatively, you can make payment via AXS kiosk or through the Mobile@HDB app.
