HDB Learning Centre

The HDB Learning Centre has 6 rooms to meet your training needs. 5 of the training rooms are about 90 square metres each, and can accommodate about 30 people. 1 of the rooms is about 110 square metres and can accommodate 36 people. The rooms are equipped with:

  • A projection system
  • 5 rooms: 10 tables, or 5 clusters of tables that sits 6 people each
  • 1 room: 12 tables, or 6 clusters of tables that sits 6 people each

There is also a foyer area in the HDB Learning Centre where people can network and mingle.

Our Learning Centre is located at 4th storey, HDB Hub, 530 Lorong 6 Toa Payoh, Singapore 310530. Please do not use this address for any correspondence.

To get to the Learning Centre, enter via the lift lobby next to Berth A11 of the bus interchange.

Booking

Please download our application form and submit it together with a 30% deposit (inclusive of 7% GST) to:

All bookings are non-transferable and subject to confirmation by letter or email.

For applications by fax, we will request for you to send us your booking deposit upon confirmation of the booking.

Guidelines and terms and conditions

These guidelines and terms and conditions apply to all persons and organisations who use the HDB Learning Centre (also referred to as the ‘Centre’).

Rental rates and payments

  • A non-refundable deposit of 30% (inclusive of 7% GST) of the rental amount for the HDB Learning Centre (excluding additional services/ equipment) must be made at the time of application for confirmation of booking
  • All cancellations must be made in writing. Otherwise, the balance rental amount will be billed even if there is a no-show for the date(s) booked
  • The outstanding payment (inclusive of 7% GST) must be made upon receipt of the tax invoice
  • All payments must be made by cheque, made payable to ‘Housing & Development Board’
  • Rates are subject to change
  • The Management of the Centre reserves the right to cancel any booking by giving at least 3 days’ notice. In such instances, all payments made will be refunded, and the Management of the Centre shall not be liable for any expense/ losses incurred

Use of premises

  • The Centre shall be used only for the purpose stated in the booking form. The event must not have any religious and/ or political agenda or any form of solicitation. Where necessary, permits from the Singapore Police Force must be obtained
  • A grace period of 30 minutes before and after the booking time is granted based on the time stated in the booking form
  • When using the Centre’s foyer area, the hours stated in the booking form for the Centre are to be strictly adhered to
  • The Centre’s foyer area should strictly be used for tea receptions only. Should the auditorium foyer area be intended for use for other activities, prior approval must be obtained Centre’s office
  • It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that all acts to be performed in the Centre have been duly licensed, censored, or passed, as the case may be, by the relevant Authority
  • The Centre’s approval is required for the following:
    • Displaying of banner(s) or poster(s) in any part of the leased premise
    • Use of electrical apparatus or heavy machinery or any other fittings in the leased premise
    • Use of naked flame or any smoke-generating device during the performance or function
  • It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that:
    • Drinks, confectionary, food, and other similar items are not allowed in any part of the Centre except areas designated for reception
    • Smoking is strictly prohibited

Damage of property, fixtures and fittings

  • The Centre’s leased premises and equipment shall be returned in their original condition. Any damages or loss caused to the properties, apparatus, or fittings shall be the liability of the applicant.
  • The Centre reserves the right to claim compensation for any such damages or loss
  • Applicants shall be responsible for the use/ safekeeping of their equipment and the safety of the participants. The Centre shall not be liable to the applicant, nor shall the applicant have any claim against the Centre, for any damages or injuries

Violation of terms and conditions

  • In the event that any of these terms and conditions are contravened, the Centre reserves the right to ask the applicant to immediately vacate the premises
