Release of 4th Quarter 2015 Public Housing Data
This press release provides the data for the HDB resale and rental market in 4th Quarter 2015.
2 The Resale Price Index (RPI) rose by 0.1%, from 134.6 in 3rd Quarter 2015 to 134.8 in 4th Quarter 2015 (see Annex A). The RPI for the full year of 2015 registered a decline of 1.6%.
3 Resale transactions increased by 2.0%, from 4,893 cases in 3rd Quarter 2015 to 4,992 cases in 4th Quarter 2015. The number of resale transactions for the full year of 2015 was 19,306, an increase of 11.5% compared to 2014 (see Annex B).

6 The number of applications approved for subletting of HDB flat increased by 6.0%, from 10,018 cases in 3rd Quarter 2015 to 10,618 cases in 4th Quarter 2015 (see Annex E). As at 31 Dec 2015, 50,264 HDB flats were sublet, an increase of 0.9% over 3rd Quarter 2015 (49,796 units).
7 In 2016, HDB plans to launch four Build-To-Order (BTO) exercises, with a total BTO supply of about 18,000 flats. These flats will be spread across a good variety of locations, so that home buyers can choose a flat that best meets their budget and needs. The first BTO exercise will be held in February where about 4,150 flats in Bidadari, Bukit Batok and Sengkang will be offered. More information on the flats to be offered in the February 2016 BTO exercise is available on the HDB InfoWEB
