Release of 2nd Quarter 2017 Public Housing Data
This press release provides the data for the HDB resale and rental market in 2nd Quarter 2017.
2 The Resale Price Index (RPI) fell by 0.1%, from 133.9 in 1st Quarter 2017 to 133.7 in 2nd Quarter 2017 (see Annex A).
3 Resale transactions rose by 32.5%, from 4,530 cases in 1st Quarter 2017 to 6,001 cases in 2nd Quarter 2017 (see Annex B).
4 The median resale prices in the various towns in 2nd Quarter 2017 are tabulated in Annex C.
5 The median subletting rents in the various towns in 2nd Quarter 2017 are tabulated in Annex D.
6 The number of applications approved for subletting of HDB flats rose by 9.5%, from 9,981 cases in 1st Quarter 2017 to 10,929 cases in 2nd Quarter 2017 (see Annex E). As at 30 June 2017, there were 53,540 HDB flats being sublet, an increase of 0.3% over 1st Quarter 2017 (53,360 units).
7 In August 2017, HDB will offer about 3,850 Build-To-Order (BTO) flats in Bukit Batok and Sengkang, and 1,394 unsold balance flats under the first Re-Offer of Balance Flats (ROF) exercise. More information on the BTO exercise is available on the HDB InfoWEB.
