From 22 Dec 2021, a section of Tampines Avenue 12 will be realigned, as part of development plans for Tampines North. In tandem with the realignment, an existing section of Tampines Avenue 12 will be permanently closed to traffic from the same day. New traffic lights will also be commissioned.

2   The realigned portion of Tampines Avenue 12 will link to the existing Tampines North Drive 2. This enhances the road connectivity for future residents of Build-to-Order (BTO) projects in the area such as the upcoming Tampines GreenCourt, Tampines GreenVines, Tampines GreenFoliage and Tampines GreenDew.

New Realigned Tampines Avenue 12

3   The changes, to take place from 22 Dec, are as follows:

• A section of Tampines Avenue 12 will be realigned to connect to Tampines Avenue 7 and Tampines Avenue 9. The existing T-junction will be converted to a cross-junction.

• New signalised pedestrian crossings will be commissioned at the future traffic junction of Tampines Avenue 12 and Tampines North Drive 2.

• The existing section of Tampines Avenue 12 leading to Tampines Avenue 9 will be permanently closed. The traffic junction of Tampines Avenue 12 and Tampines Avenue 9 will be removed and replaced with a signalised pedestrian crossing.

4   Auxiliary police will be onsite to guide motorists. Motorists are advised to drive carefully and observe the traffic signal indications.
