HDB to Open a New Branch in Bukit Panjang
Residents in Bukit Panjang and Choa Chu Kang will soon be able to enjoy greater convenience with the opening of HDB’s new branch at Bukit Panjang. The new Bukit Panjang Branch will commence operations on 19 March 2018.
2 Over the last five years, the number of flats in Bukit Panjang and Choa Chu Kang has grown by close to 20 per cent (from 70,500 as at 31 March 2012 to 84,200 as at 31 March 2017). With more flats being built in recent years, the number of HDB residents in these towns has also increased. Currently, these residents are served solely by HDB’s Choa Chu Kang Branch.
3 To better serve the needs of residents in the area, HDB will be setting up a new Branch at Bukit Panjang to provide an additional service point for residents in both Bukit Panjang and Choa Chu Kang.
4 The new Branch, located at Block 422A Fajar Road (multi-storey car park), near Fajar LRT Station, will feature an e-lobby at the 1st storey, and an office located at the 7th storey. The e-lobby will be open round the clock, while the Branch will operate from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm (Mondays to Fridays). The location map of the Branch is at Annex A.
5 The new Branch will feature a 24/7 e-lobby, so residents can access HDB’s services online round the clock without having to queue.
6 Within the e-lobby, there will be self-help e-Kiosks, AXS Station and cash payment kiosk for use by the residents. Residents can use the e-Kiosks to perform online transactions with HDB, including the application and renewal of season parking, renting of flat, as well as the addition and removal of occupiers from their flat. The full list of e-services is attached in Annex B. During the Branch’s operation hours, customer service officers will be available to guide residents on the use of these e-services.
Convenient 24/7 access to e-Lobby at Bukit Panjang Branch
7 Today, e-kiosks are available at all HDB Branches, offering residents the convenience of transacting with HDB quickly, without the need to queue at the counters. The result is shorter waiting time for residents.
8 Besides using the e-kiosks at HDB Branches, residents can also access a wide range of HDB’s services online anytime, anywhere, by visiting the HDB InfoWEB or our mobile@HDB.
9 Residents who need a face-to-face discussion with our Branch officers can book an e-appointment through the HDB InfoWEB, by logging in to MyHDBPage using their Singpass. This will also reduce the need for them to wait in line to be served at a physical counter.
10 Going forward, HDB will continue to explore new ways to improve our service delivery with the use of technology, to bring about greater convenience for residents.
