Overview	This emall site provides customers information on the availability of the HDB Hub mall space and the ability to book the use of this space via the internet at a time and place at their convenience.
Operating hours	The service is available 24 hours except during scheduled down time.
Eligibility	All members of the public is eligible to use the service.
Requirements	You need to have internet access and credit card to make payment for the deposits.

Refund process	As stated in the Terms and Conditions, any cancellation of the Event must be made in writing. On proper notice being received, a refund of all monies, free of interest and excluding the administration deposit, which have been paid in advance will be made, subject to the following deductions:- 100% of the total rental charge shall be forfeited if cancellation is made 10 working days or less before the commencement date of the Event.

Q1: How do I go about booking the HDB Hub mall area?

A1: Interested applicants can submit their application via the internet (www.hdb.gov.sg/emall). Applicants can book for lots at the mall area for up to two month in advance. A deposit fee of $200/$400 (depending on the amount of mall space taken up) to HDB is compulsory. Payment of deposit fee is to be made electronically via credit card for applications received on the internet.

Q2: How long do you take to process the application and when will I know if I am successful/unsuccessful?

A2: Applications received via the internet will be processed within one working day. For application that trade falls within the pre-approved list, online approval will be given immediately. However, if the trade is not within the pre-approved list, the application will be classified as "Pending case". Once the application is processed, applicants will be informed via email whether their application is successful or unsuccessful.

Q3: What happens to the admin deposit if I am successful/unsuccessful? How about the full payment?

A3: Successful applicants shall be required to make full payment* via Nets or cashier's order (for amount exceeding $2,000) addressed to: Housing & Development Board within 3 working days upon confirmation of booking. Unsuccessful applicants will have their admin deposit refunded. (The admin deposit shall be a part of the full payment.)

Q4: What are the charges for the rental of the mall area space?

A4: There are weekday (Mon – Thu) and weekend (Fri – Sun, including Public Holidays) rates ranging from $35psm per day to $45psm per day. The Terms & Conditions and Layout details are at the website.

Q5: What happen if I cancel my event?

A5: As stated in the Terms and Conditions, any cancellation of events must be made in writing to Commercial Properties Management Department, Properties & Land Group, Housing & Development Board. 100% of the total rental charge will be forfeited if the cancellation is made 10 working days or less before commencement of the event.

Q6: Are there any restrictions of trades?

A6: Pets/livestock, food, F & B are strictly not allowed. On top of that, audio sound systems & microphones are not permitted to be used. Ad hoc requests like the use of a stage, performances etc will be approved on case-by-case basis via email/letter.

Q7: Do I need to apply to Fire Safety Bureau (FSB)? Is it compulsory? What are the charges & how do I go about it?

A7: FSB’s approval is compulsory. Applicants need to submit a copy of their layout plan for FSB’s endorsement, at least one week before the event.

Applicants have to bring all the relevant documents personally to FSB, and a fee of $50/- by cash/nets will be borne by applicants.

8: What is the timing that I can come in for my setting-up and dismantling?

A8: Setting-up can be done one day before the event after 11pm and dismantling work must be cleared by 11pm on the last day of the event.

Q9: What is the height limit for panels/partitions/free standing signages?

A9: The maximum height limit is 2m.

Q10: How do I apply for electricity ?

A10: There will be an miscellaneous charge by our bus interchanges operators (SMRT/ SBS Transit).
($107/- per day for Bishan and $30/- per day for Bukit Batok Interchange)
