HDB is the agent for the State in the following work areas :
- Maintenance and management of State land
The land that are not required for immediate development are let out for short term use such as contractor site office/worksite, floral nursery, turf production, religious functions etc.
- Management of vacant SERS flats and shops
Some of these properties that are not required for immediate development are let out as interim housing on master tenancy.
- Land sales for the following types of development:
HDB also administers the leases of the following :
- Some cinemas, petrol stations, religious institutions, recreational centres
- Other ancillary developments in the housing estates.
- SIT leases and other directly allocated HDB leases*
