Instead of Coupon Parking, some of the HDB car parks are implemented with Electronic Parking System (EPS). The system reads the In-Vehicle Unit (IU) numbers of the vehicles entering the car park.
Please insert the Cashcard in the IU for parking charges to be deducted when leaving the car park.
With the EPS, parking charges are on a per-minute basis. If your vehicle is parked for only 15 minutes, charges for just 15 minutes will be deducted from your Cashcard.
Most of the
HDB's electronic car parks give a 10 minutes grace period. If you used such car parks for less then 10 minutes, you will not be charged.
However, there are some electronic car parks that do not offer grace period. In short, regardless how long (e.g. 1 minute) you use the car park, you will be charged based on the time utilised. These car parks are:
