The following is a list of indicative rates for window related works. This list serves as a guide to residents who need help in engaging services of a contractor. It is not meant to be exhaustive or an endorsement of the contractor’s performance.
The charges stated hereunder serve only as a reference for the amount that contractors can charge for window maintenance. This does not guarantee the quality of work performed by them. Flat owners are advised to make necessary comparisons where possible before engaging any contractor.

If you wish to engage a contractor, you will have to negotiate the price and extent of work with the contractor on a private basis. You are required to ensure that the contractor you engage exercise due care and diligence while carrying out the necessary repair work.
Check the windows to ensure that
- Rivets are not broken or corroded
- Screws are not loose or rusty
- Friction stays are not bent or loose

- Safety stopper and/or angle strip(s) is/are in place
- Window panel slides smoothly on the track
Check the windows to ensure that:
- Timber frame is in good condition
- Glass panes are secure, not cracked

- Lever lock works properly

Here are some window maintenance tips.
