Eligibility To Buy : Conversion Scheme
 

Under the Conversion Scheme, you can buy only the following types of resale flats:
  • Purchase Option 1: 2 units of 3-room or smaller flat or
  • Purchase Option 2: An adjoining 3-room or smaller flat (the leases of both flats must be surrendered so that one fresh lease can be issued for the converted flat).

You must meet the following eligibility conditions to buy a resale flat under the Conversion Scheme:

Detailed Description

CitizenshipYou must:
  • Be a Singapore Citizen (SC) or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR)
  • Include at least one listed occupant who is a SC/SPR

Age You must be at least 21 years old.

Family NucleusYou must form a proper family nucleus with one of the following options:
  • Your spouse and children, if any, or
  • Your parents and siblings, or
  • Your children under your legal custody, care and control (for widowed, divorced or separated persons)

Special Conditions
Purchase Option 1

No special condition for Purchase Option 1.

Purchase Option 2

You must be the flat owner of one of the 3-room or smaller flat.

Income CeilingThere is no income ceiling unless you are applying for CPF Housing Grant and/or an HDB Loan.

Ownership of Private Residential Property

You can own private property (unless you are applying for a CPF Housing Grant). However, you must live in the HDB resale flat.

Ethnic Integration Policy and SPR Quota
Purchase Option 1

Proportion of your ethnic group and SPR quota (if applicable) has not reached the limit. Find out more about the Ethnic Integration Policy (EIP) and SPR Quota.

Purchase Option 2

No restriction for Purchase Option 2.
