Let’s Play-Make@ Canberra

Let’s Play-Make will be the first-ever community-built play space within the HDB estates in Singapore where Canberra residents are invited to design their very own play area. The play space is envisioned to bring back fun and adventure through unique and different designs apart from the usual playgrounds.

If you live in Canberra, we are inviting you to join us in the entire process from designing, planning to co-building the play space. It will also be a wonderful opportunity for you to meet and get to know your neighbours better. Come, leave your mark in the neighbourhood and create a play space where our younger generation can enjoy and build treasured childhood memories!

Look out for our upcoming workshops where you can be involved in designing this new play space!

Interested residents can call in to HDB at 6490-1775.

Behind the project

Let’s Play-Make@ Canberra is one of the winning ideas of the HDB Build-a-thon challenge organised as part of the HDB Community Building Seminar held in May 2014. During this challenge, participants – from public and private organisations as well as academic institutions – gathered fresh ideas from residents on building better neighbourhoods in Canberra (Sembawang) and Siglap East (Bedok).
